Worship and Praise Sunday: Who am I

I know Sunday is almost over but I wanted to participate in Worship and Praise Sunday! If you want to join in head over to Sweet Nothings where Brittany is hosting Worship and Praise Sundays!

I am reading the book Crazy Love and it's really made me realize how BIG God is and how little I am! It amazes me (and honestly sometimes hard to fathom) that even as insignificant as I am, the Lord knows my name and LOVES me!

Why, you do not know what will happen tomorrow, What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. James 4:13-14

The song Who am I by Casting Crowns reminds reminds me of this and helps me to remember to that God loves me and LONGS for a relationship with me!

Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.

Bridge:
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
I am yours..
I am yours..

Jen, this is one of my favorite songs! I love all of the words, but I'm especially thankful for this part...."Still you hear me when I'm calling, Lord, you catch me when I'm falling, And you've told me who I am, I am yours, I am yours, I am yours." Thanks for sharing this awesome song today. :)

That is one of the best songs! Although, I have yet to hear a song by Casting Crowns that I don't like.

I love Casting Crowns, but I really love this song. (Although "The Voice of Truth" is probably my favorite).

Thanks for sharing!

I just love this song. Our drama team does a human video to it. A member of the team used to sing as we performed but God called him home about a year ago and it is hard for us not to have him with us.
